On Friday we hosted our first School class tour. There were 23 students and every one of them finished our Scavenger Hunt. Lots of fun with all of them. They were the first tour to get a sneak peak of the exhibition space on the third floor.

What a fantastic fun day we had yesterday for our Opening day 2012.  We had around 100 people through our doors from as far as British Columbia to as close by as next door.  Great turn out, with everyone loving the newly renovated third floor.  Hope we see you back again soon.

Also held yesterday, with great sucess, was the Museum’s Annual Tea.  Thank you to the Volunteers who organised, baked for, served, and cleaned up after the tea.  The tea, homemade biscuits and sweets were delicious! 

Thank you to the people/business who kindly donated items for the silent auction and door prizes.  We appreciate it very much.

We’ve had a fantastic opening week!  There has been just as many locals in as there has been tourists, which is great.  We have been documenting new donations, putting finishing touches on new exhibits, and of course giving tours.  It’s going to be a great season!  Summer tour guides start work on Tuesday.
