Searching Your Family Tree

RESEARCH CENTRE

Researching your family tree? The museum has a number of records to aid in your quest now located at the Artifactory . The research centre has space where you can sit at a table, peruse these documents, and capture the details for your family tree. The Artifactory does not have personnel always on hand so you must make an appointment. The best way to do this is to email the museum at info@gardenofthegulfmuseum.ca.

Family Binders

Binders full of newspaper clippings, wedding and death notices of people that were/are from the Eastern PEI area. We are continually updating these. People love turning the pages to find long lost family members. Binders are organized by last name. Just start looking and you will surprised what you will find. Heritage Items Photographs, Portraits, landscapes, early personal and family photos depict daily life in Montague and the Southern Kings area.

Church Records
Numerous years of church records from Georgetown, Caledonia, Belfast, Montague, Murray Harbor North and more! Names of people buried in the various Prince Edward Island cemeteries as well as births and marriages.

Yearbooks
Several yearbooks from Montague Regional High school from 1956 to present day. Everyone really enjoys going through these precious memories.
