Third Floor Opening & 125th Anniversary of the Building
What an incredible turn out we had for our Building. So excited for all the love and support that we had.
Also, we were interviewed live on CBC radio with Matt Rainy that morning. The Eastern Graphic and the Guardian showed up and we were featured on PEI’s News cast Compass. Very exciting day for our Museum.
We purchased a cake for the event from a local business in Montague called Candi’s Cakes and it was delicious. After the ribbon was cut to the third floor, everyone filed up the stairs and fell in love with the renovation.
Pictured above are MLA Charlie McGeoghegan, Mayor of Montague Richard Collins, Museum Board President John Macdonald and Museum board member Edgar Dewar.
Thank you to one and all that made this day such a success. The building that the Museum is housed in is really an incredible heritage site. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy that there are so many others. – Connie Spencer –

Museum Madness
Our second Museum Madness this season was on August 7. Pictured here, the children enjoy listening to a Mi’Kmaq legend. The children also were able to handle arrowheads, play games, and make dream catchers to take home with them.
