Operations Manager & Curator

About Connie

Connie Spencer was born and raised in Prince Edward Island and always had a keen interest in island and world history.  Her love of travel brought her around the world for 10 years before settling down not far from where she grew up and where she is now raising two daughters with her husband Tyler.  She has been in tourism and customer service since she was 16 and loves meeting new people.  In addition, Connie has a real passion for local history and its preservation. Connie worked at the Garden of the Gulf Museum between 2009 – 2016 as Assistant Curator, Events Planner and Development Coordinator, and returned as Development Coordinator for the 2022 season. During those years at the Museum, Connie completed numerous collections management and conservation courses. In 2023 she is excited to assume her new roles as Operations Manager and Museum Curator.
